Welcome to the International Association for Ayurvedic Healing Arts and thank you for your interest in the ancient art of Ayurvedic Healing.
The International Association for Ayurvedic Healing Arts as a non-profit organisation is registered under a Trust, which itself is registered in the state of Bihar, India. Our aim and endeavour is to promote the Art of Ayurveda – literally translated the Science of Life. Our activities include the dissemination of knowledge about the Vedas and other ancient Scriptures and Philosophies, which help people in their process of finding inner peace, happiness and purpose in their lives.
The Trust is a non-faith denominated organisation, we believe that all religions and philosophies are of one creator and as such should all be respected; or as Mahatma Gandhi said all paths leading to God are equally good. Regardless of creed, status, profession, religion, gender or belief we feel that all humans should be equally respected and cherished for whom they are. In this spirit we have set up the Trust to contribute to the self-development, personal growth and soul bliss of humans. We hope that in anyway you find something on this webpage that helps you stay in tune with yourself and celebrate your uniqueness.
Part of the Trust’s activities are the promotion of Vedic Therapies that help people to discover their self-healing power and enhance their well-being. To further this mission, the International Association for Ayurvedic Healing Arts has set a training standard to contribute to the quality of training in Ayurvedic based therapies. The branch of the medical science of Ayurveda requires a 4-5 years training in India and is ruled by government legislation. The IAAHA only accredites trainings in holistic therapeutic modalities as based on the Vedas; that is training programs that are based on the philosophy of the Veda but do not pertain to the medical branch of Ayurveda.
Though, the IAAHA promotes the Vedic approach to healing we hold all religions, philosophies and cultures to be of equal value to individuals seeking or following a spiritual path. India is a melting pot of many different cultures, religions and ethnicities, you will find the reflection of diversity represented in the various teachings and therapeutic concepts we support. If you are interested in the different religions and religious places in India visit Incredible India Pilgramages, you will find an overview of the different religious places. If you are interested in the history and philosophy of Ayurveda, its different branches and its different applications read the following Article or visit the website of Ayushveda.
This website gives you an overview of the activities and the founding principles of the Trust. Should you be a student of any of the institutions accredited by IAAHA, take the time to read through our Guiding Principles, our Health Concept and the accredited Institutions.
